He has been an adviser to two House of Commons Select Committees and three shadow government ministers. Also, a consultant to several UN organizations. His experience in the fields of science, economics and public policy make him ideally placed to write this book.

Mike Saksa has participated as a buyer, seller, and stakeholder in many types of negotiations for Fortune 500 companies over his 30-year career. He survived, adapted, and thrived in crisis management situations with the Tylenol product recall and relaunch, the KKR leverage buyout of RJR Nabisco, and the AOL/Time Warner failed merger.

As a senior executive at Warner Bros. and Redbox, he led negotiations for over $1 billion of content against big retail, professional sports leagues, cable tv networks, streamers, movie studios, and celebrity production companies. In addition to his BS in Finance, MBA in Marketing, and MFA in Cinema/TV, Mike received executive training in leadership and negotiations at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and the Harvard Graduate Business School.

He’s currently a thesis panelist for the USC Cinematic Arts Graduate Producing Program and a guest lecturer in entertainment disruption at the UCLA Anderson Graduate Business School.

Jim Spohrer

Jim Spohrer is a retired IBM executive and active in the International Society of Service Innovation Professionals (ISSIP.org). He has a bachelor’s degree in physics from MIT and a PhD in Computer Science/Artificial Intelligence from Yale. One of the founders of the field of service science, with over ninety publications and nine patents, his awards include AMA ServSIG Christopher Lovelock Career Contributions to the Service Discipline, Evert Gummesson Service Research, Vargo-Lusch Service-Dominant Logic, Daniel Berg Service Systems, and PICMET Fellow for advancing service science.

Roger Forsgren

Former CKO, NASA

Mr. Forsgren started his career as a mechanic apprentice at NASA’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio and, after ten years of night school, earned an undergraduate and then graduate degree in engineering. In 2005, Mr. Forsgren transferred to NASA Headquarters in Washington D.C. to manage agency training and in 2013 was appointed the director of the Academy of Program/Project and Engineering Leadership (APPEL). In 2016 he was given the additional responsibility of serving as the NASA Chief Knowledge Officer until his retirement in 2021.
