William D. Presutti

William D. Presutti, Jr., PhD, CPM is adjunct professor of supply chain management in the Palumbo-Donahue School, Duquesne University. His background includes 28 years as a full-time faculty member at Duquesne and many years of professional and management experience in supply chain management with both large and small companies after serving as a Logistics Officer in the United States Air Force. He earned his undergraduate degree from Duquesne, a Master’s in Economics from Northeastern University, and Ph. D. from Carnegie-Mellon University. He founded Duquesne’s Supply Chain Management program in 1991 and co-developed the MBA-level course in Value Chain Management which he has taught to over 300 students in the past 10 years. His most recent publication appeared in the September 2011 issue of the California Journal of Operations Management. Dr. Presutti’s current research interests include the role of reward sharing in managing the value chain and the evolving role of supply management in the value chain. He is the author or coauthor of 14 peer-reviewed publications that address many of the elements of value chain management.
