K.V. Ramani
Professor K.V. Ramani obtained his PhD in operations research from Cornell University in 1977 and has served IIMA for almost 37 years. He has also taught at Cornell University, Florida International University, and the National University of Singapore. He has been a visiting research scholar at the University of Texas, Austin, University of Leeds, University of Warwick, University of Western Sydney, Australia and the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration, Finland. His current teaching and research interests are in the areas of health and hospital management. Dr. Ramani has more than 40 publications in international refereed journals, and is an invited speaker in a large number of conferences in India and abroad. He has been a consultant to the World Bank, European Commission, UNOPS, USAID, Swedish International Development, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and a number of hospitals in India and abroad. Professor Ramani has served as a member on the Governing Board of several organizations including IIM Ahmedabad. In addition to this book, he also wrote, Hospital Management: Text and Cases.
