Kate Baucherel
Kate Baucherel is a business development and strategy consultant specializing in the application of emerging tech in business, particularly blockchain and distributed ledger technology. She has held senior technical and financial roles in businesses across multiple sectors, leading several enterprises through their startup and growth phases. Kate’s first job was with an IBM business partner in Denver, back when the AS/400 was a really cool piece of hardware and the World Wide Web didn’t exist, and she has enjoyed the journey to today’s awe-inspiring technical landscape. She holds a 2nd Dan black belt in karate and has two children. Kate’s writing encompasses the factual and the fictional. Her books include nonfiction digital adoption guide Poles Apart: Challenges for business in the digital age, several short stories in the Harvey Duckman Presents…sci-fi anthologies, and the SimCavalier series of futurist thrillers including Bitcoin Hurricane and Hacked Future.
