Rick De La Guardia
Rick De La Guardia is the President and Founder of DLG Engineering, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in building envelope systems to help mitigate or assess storm damage in hurricane-prone regions of the country. Mr. De La Guardia earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Miami in 1996. He is the author of a book on engineering entrepreneurship titled Engineer to Entrepreneur: Success Strategies to Manage Your Career and Start Your Own Firm published by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE Press). Mr. De La Guardia served as the President of the University of Miami, College of Engineering Alumni Association, from 2010 to 2012, chaired an advisory committee on entrepreneurship for the University of Miami College of Engineering from 2016 to 2017, and was a member of the University of Miami Herbert Business School Entrepreneurship Advisory Board in 2017. He serves as Chapter Advisor for his fraternity, Alpha Sigma Phi, Gamma Theta at the University of Miami since 2017. He has a passion for entrepreneurship and helping others achieve that goal.
