Ron Sheffield, Ed.D

Dr. Ron P. Sheffield is a member of the Quechan Tribe of Arizona, Adjunct Professor of Leadership at Christopher Newport University, and Board Member for the American Indigenous Business Leaders. His doctoral research at George Washington University, ‘The Influence of Language on Culture and Identity: Resurgence of the Quechan Native American Tribal Language’ sought to gain understanding of the influence that language restriction, and later federal legitimization, had on elder’s perspectives of culture and identity.
